Dear Parents,

Please Read Carefully

Due to the severe decrease in State aid funding, our board of education will no longer be able to provide a no charge Pre-Kindergarten program as we have in the past. As a result of these financial constraints, our board of education has decided to sponsor a full day (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)  tuition-based Pre-Kindergarten program during the 2010-2011 school year. The cost for participating in this program is $4000.00 for the year which can be paid in full by June 1st or in ten monthly installments of $400.00 payable one month in advance with the first payment due June 1, 2010.   Our board of education is also considering sponsoring an After School Care program which would operate from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost for the After School Care program is a pre-pay of $100.00 weekly which can also be prepaid monthly.

Important

·         Enrollment in the Pre-Kindergarten program will be limited to the first 20 registrants who have completed applications and have made their initial tuition payment by June 1st.

·         The After School Care program will only be available to children who are enrolled in our Pre-Kindergarten program.

Information regarding the registration process for the 2010-2011 Pre-Kindergarten

program follows and can be found on our district website (www.shmemorial.org).   The interest survey for the After School Care program will be taken during the time of registration. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need clarification.
