- Children who turn five years old on or before October 1, 2019, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:38-5; must be enrolled in Kindergarten.
- To be eligible to apply for pre-kindergarten, a child must be four years of age on or before October 1, 2019.
- There is a class size cap of 20 students for pre-kindergarten; therefore, pre-kindergarten registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Once all the spots are filled, your child will be placed on a waiting list.
- Children registering for pre-kindergarten should be toilet trained.
NO CHILD WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER SCHOOL WITHOUT A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OR WITHOUT FULFILLMENT OF ALL IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS.
Before entering Preschool your child will need the following immunizations:
4 doses of DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis)
3 doses of IPV (Polio)
3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine recommended, required for Kindergarten
1 dose of MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) – after 1st birthday
1 dose HIB (haemophilus influenzae type B) – after 1st birthday
1 dose Varicella (prevents chicken pox) – after 1st birthday
1 dose PCV (Pneumococcal vaccine – prevents pneumonia) – after 1st birthday
An annual influenza vaccine (flu shot) is recommended for all ages, however, it is MADATORY FOR ALL PRESCHOOL STUDENTS. This vaccine is DUE BEFORE THE START OF WINTER BREAK EACH DECEMBER.
